Dear Mr. Nielsen,
You need someone who knows how to manage dozens of accounts simultaneously without dropping a single one. For the last six years, I have done precisely that at Star Talent Support. My background has given me the skills necessary to succeed in your company’s open position.
One of the most important qualities a senior manager can have is exceptional communication. I constantly need to relay information to the proper sources at my current job. If anything changes, that needs to be conveyed immediately. In order to accomplish this, I keep a detailed scheduling system in my smartphone, and my assistant has the same software. That way I get reminded twice of when something needs to be done.
Negotiation is also vital. I have numerous clients who all want different things. Some are easy to reach a consensus with. Others take a little more work. I believe the most efficient thing is to customize my negotiation style with each client. That involves having a meeting first where we don’t talk about anything of much substance, which is just my opportunity to get a feel for the client’s personality. After that, I have a great sense of how I need to negotiate with that individual.
Thank you for reading through my application. I look forward to hearing from you. If there is anything you would like for me to go over in greater detail, I would be happy to do that.
