Dear Ms. Simms,
I am writing to apply for the carhop position at your restaurant. I have experience in the restaurant business and believe I am a great fit for this position.
According to your ad, you are seeking a people person with great customer service skills. I have worked as a waitress for a busy area restaurant, where I learned how to provide great customer service by greeting guests quickly, taking their orders, and serving food that was hot, fresh, and tasty.
As part of my job, I was responsible for busing tables, wiping seats, and generally keeping the dining area clean and tidy. I also helped the hostess seat and helped other waiters serve food and drinks when needed. My duties also included closing tasks such as refilling condiments, balancing my tickets, and cleaning the restaurant for the next day.
I believe that I am the right person for this job and I would be happy to discuss my skills with you in an interview setting. Thank you for your time.
