Training and Education

Having work experience in a related occupation may make it easier to find a job. Employees with a bachelor’s degree or higher are 45% of the total. About 37% of property sales brokers have some college education, but do not have a degree. High school was all the education required by 18% of workers to get a job.


Part-Time Work and Self-Employment

Government survey data shows that 16% of employees work fewer than 40 hours per week. Some 64% of property sales brokers work primarily as a consultant.


Area Job Conditions

Cities with few jobs per capita for employees are Fort Worth (Texas), Austin (Texas), and Cleveland (Ohio). The most jobs are found in Palm Coast (Florida), Kingman (Arizona), and Wilmington (North Carolina).

Within the US, the highest salaries for property sales brokers are found in San Francisco (California), New York (New York), and Atlanta (Georgia), and the lowest are found in Fayetteville (North Carolina), Boise (Idaho), and Greenville (North Carolina).
