Proofread Your Cover Letter

TeenaRoseBook.jpg For many employers, an error in the cover letter sends it into the trash immediately. Your cover letter must not include any errors. Mistakes send the message that you are careless and unprofessional. Read your cover letter thoroughly for spelling errors. Don’t rely on spell-check to catch any errors you might have made. Spell-check won’t flag a word that is spelled correctly but used incorrectly (i.e. “their” instead of “there”).
