My role as an intern allowed me to conduct 1:1 interviews with non-traditional students to analyze how the variables related to mentorship, the university environment, and the pandemic influenced their adjustment to the UCI campus. Ultimately developing a need-based assessment of the non-traditional student population on the UCI campus and cultivating recommendations for future programs and interventions to support the retention of this group.
