…listings of jobs for and the companies who hire truckers. Services for the job seekers (i.e. the drivers) are free. You can opt to fill in their secure application which will be made available to the recruiters who search the site or you can reviewcurrent postings for company or owner-operator drivers and apply directly. Please note that if you opt for their application you will be filling out a very detailed application and you will be agreeing to a full background check by the receiving carrier companies, including a consumer background (i.e. credit) check. I do not see a mailing address on the site, but I am listing it because (1) the name of the owner is given on the contact page, (2) his domain name registration info is public, and (3) I see very high quality listings here. You will have to consider the terms and conditions of the site's secure application and make your own decision there.
Big Rig Jobs
Almost no contact information, but by doing some extensive searching on Google I did learn they are based in Alabama. The reason I worked so hard to make this listing fit is it actually has some real information, which isn't something I find on a lot of sites offering job assistance to truckers. There are some real job postings by trucking companies plus extensive lists of companies right down to the local level (found one here in Rockville MD). Yes, like most of the trucking sites it has a lot of lists and you have to dig around a bit, and yes, they have the general application you can complete and have submitted to trucking companies and recruiters on your behalf, but they have a lot you can do for yourself too.
…jobs for truckers (including owner-operator), along with lists of schools and trucking companies. You can view the ads, the lists, and most areas of this site as a non-member, but membership gets you some added features (resume database, newsletter, etc.). Membership is free, does not require you to post your resume, and is kept confidential. Looks good.
Nice site. You can review lists of trucking companies by name or review jobs by location or equipment, and you can do this before you submit your application (which of course includes all of the relevant information required by the FMCA). You can also block companies you don't want to hear from ever again….
Information and news for anyone involved in the trucking industry. The JobNet includes job listings for all facets of this industry from drivers to dispatchers to managers. There is also an online application that allows you to submit a resume to multiple companies without registering; however, registration does allow you to store your resume on this site and edit. My only problem with this application is that it asks for your Social Security number, age, and date of birth,
