A recruiter has to take a risk on behalf of his or her organization to bring in a person who is not only qualified but will also fit the company’s culture and mission. I think my experience as a sales associate and assistant manager make me well qualified for your recruiter position.
As a sales associate at City Stereo, I was constantly interacting with customers. In addition to the personal skills I developed in sales, I also learned to match the needs of the customer to available products. This required effectively listening to the customer and having a detailed understanding of the store inventory.
After less than a year on the sales floor, I was promoted to assistant manager. This position often gave me the responsibility of making personnel and scheduling decisions. The experience of weighing employee abilities against the needs of the store will be a great asset to me as a recruiter.
