Master Teacher Resume Questions
The header needs to appear at the very top of your resume, and yet you should try to make readers almost not notice it until they have finished reading. As you see in our master teacher resume sample, it is a good idea to keep the header short and possibly use a smaller type face.
Your header needs to include your email address, phone number, and full name. You have many options when it comes to your mailing address. You can provide it or opt not to, and it is also optional whether you include the home city. In many cases, employers can assume which city you live in.
Following your header, there should be four sections. First, write a summary statement that incorporates aspects from the rest of the resume. Second, create a skill section that is a bullet list of your abilities. Third, write an experience section that details previous jobs and the responsibilities you had when working at them. Lastly, describe your education information in an extremely brief section.
Employers expect for applicants to use this standard resume format. Many hiring managers discard resumes with barely a glance if they do not use this format.
There are two ways you can include information about your achievements in your resume. You can either place them in one of the sections seen on our master teacher resume sample or you can create a new, dedicated section for them.
In the first option, it is best to describe your achievements in the experience section. Using real metrics is a great way to add credibility to your resume. Mention the situation, the actions you took, and the ways it benefited you and your previous employer. If you choose to create a new section, it is a good idea to combine it with other information, such as affiliation or awards.
We recommend having at least five bullet points, but not more than eight, for each position in your experience section. There are some situations, however, when it is best to include more or fewer.
Jobs that are at the focus of establishing your qualifications should have more bullet points. On the other hand, if a position is not very relevant, you can have as few as two bullet points. Likewise, to manage the density of this section, you may need to change how many bullet points you have for each position depending on the total number of jobs you list.
Employers sometimes use applicant tracking systems to filter out applicants even before a human reviews their resume. To avoid an ATS rejecting your resume, you need to include the right language.
